Today we gave the 50th $500 tip on Aaron’s birthday. He would have been 31. We invited Aaron’s co-workers ad family to join us and went out to Winchell’s, where we surprised Hillary with an awesome tip from Aaron.

I’m in Los Angeles to cover E3, and met up with Jordan and Jason Wishnov. Jason is a good friend, and when he heard abut Aaron’s wish he offered to contribute a $500 tip himself . So, we went out to one of my favorite spots in Little Tokyo, Far Bar, and surprised Tracie with a $500 tip for Aaron!

I’m not giving this week’s tip until Friday when I’m out of town but I wanted to post something for everyone today. So, I went back to the original footage from the first tip and cleaned up the lighting, color, and subtitles. I should have this week’s video online Saturday.

Here it is, the tip that almost didn’t happen! Thankfully Andrea warmed up to the idea, because I would hate for all of you to have missed this one! Thanks to Apollo Pizza for being so welcoming.

Yesterday Kevin and I ventured down to Richmond, where we both attended Eastern Kentucky. Michael and Jessica on Facebook had both suggested we go to Apollo, and it was one of my favorite pizza spots when I was in school, so that’s exactly what we did. Our waitress, Andrea, was cautious about being on camera at first but she eventually warmed up and her reaction was priceless. Check it out!

Week 47 at Cracker Barrel in Lexington, KY

Mom worked at Cracker Barrel as a hostess and so she’s always wanted to visit and give someone there a $500 tip for Aaron. We had a friend of the family visiting and he wanted to take us all out to dinner so you can imagine mom’s choice! We went and surprise Kyle with a $500 tip. I think he was a bit speechless.

Week 46 at Steelhead Diner in Seattle, WA

I found an exceptionally cheap flight to Seattle, so I convinced mom and Kevin to fly out with me for a few days. While there we invited some friends to join us for dinner at Steelhead Diner right down in Pike Place Market, where we surprised Kailey with a $500 tip.

Megan and I went for brunch at County Club, a new restaurant in town. The food was delicious and we also got the chance to meet Ayna, our waitress, and surprise her with a $500 tip!
